Bath and Body Works
I was at the mall yesterday and found out some good news.
A Bath and Body Works is coming!
There’s a few already in Canada, but none in Calgary yet. It will be opening sometime this summer. I can’t wait.
I was checking out the website and there’s a couple things I’m looking forward to scoping out in person:

Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual

If you’re interested in checking out a great book on beauty head over to your local bookstore or library and get the Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual. It’s full of great step by step instructions and great tips. The book includes everything from the basics to advanced techniques, including all the tools you’ll need. The photography is amazing as well. There’s also a section at the end with all sorts of great info on breaking into the makeup artist industry too.

Hydralicious Shampoo Giveaway
I’ve been using Herbal Essences Hydralicious shampoo for the last month or so. There are three different kinds in this line – I went for the purple Reconditioning shampoo and conditioner.

I have to admit that my expectations for it weren’t all that high, but I really like how soft it leaves my hair. My hair feels moisturized even though I blow dry my hair almost every day, and sometimes even straighten it. My stylist mentioned how soft my hair felt when I got my hair cut two weeks ago.
I thought I would let a couple of my readers try out Hydralicious as well. Leave me a comment with your favorite hair tip for spring/summer and I’ll enter you into a draw for 2 full value coupons for Hydralicious shampoo/conditioner. I’ll give away 2 sets of coupons. Unfortunately the coupons are only good in Canada so Canadian residents only please.
The Hydralicious line is available at your local drugstore for $4.

The Body Shop Aloe Calming Toner

I have to apologize for the lack of regular postings lately. Last week was really busy and I think this week is going to be to. I’m hoping to get at least three posts written for this week. On to today’s review……
I’ve been using the Body Shop’s Aloe Calming Toner lately and I love it. This toner is made specifically for people with sensitive skin. It doesn’t contain any dyes, preservatives, or fragrances – which are the most likely culprits with reactions for people with sensitive skin. It doesn’t contain any alcohol either so it won’t leave your skin red or feeling stripped of moisture.
If you don’t currently use a toner I really recommend it, it makes sure your skin is clean from makeup and dirt that may be still left on your skin after cleansing.
It’s available online here or at your local Body Shop.

InStyle March 2009

I picked up the March issue of InStyle this week. One of my favorite articles is about affordable products that beauty insiders use – including hair, makeup, and skin care products. There’s lots on the new spring fashion trends (I’m so ready for spring). There are tips on how to wake up with great hair. Last but not least there’s a great interview with Sandra Bullock.
Available on newsstands now.
