I’m always on the search for the perfect cleanser for my oily, sensitive skin so I was pretty excited when I saw Dove’s Sensitive Skin Foaming Facial Cleanser at the drugstore. I knew I had to give it a try.

First off, I really like the packaging. Because everyone is going on vacation or heading out for a weekend away during the summer, the flip top lid is perfect for putting in your suitcase – you don’t have to worry about it getting all over the place.

I found that this cleanser left my face feeling clean – it got all the makeup off – without stripping my skin of it’s moisture. You can’t go wrong with that. I also liked that it didn’t have a fragrance. It’s kind of nice not being bombarded with yet another smell while getting ready in the morning. I really only needed a small amount to clean my face – it lasted longer than I thought it would.

Available at your local drugstore for $10.

Dove Invisible Solid Antiperspirant

Posted in Antiperspirant, Dove at 6:00 am by geeekygirl

Good morning ladies!

I have really dry skin during the winter. It seems to get worse and worse each year, I don’t know what it is. I even get dry skin in my armpits!

dove-deoderant

The other deodorant that I was using was irritating my dry skin, so I decided I’d try Dove’s Invisible Solid Antiperspirant with 1/4 moisturizer. It was definitely more moisturizing than the other stuff. I really like it. It also provides 24 hour odor and wetness protection according to the website. If you want it to be invisible you have to be careful to put a very thin coat of it on, otherwise you can see it.

Also check out this link at the Dove website for FAQ’s about sweating – it’s actually pretty interesting. http://www.dove.us/#/expertise/articles/expert_article.aspx[cp-documentid=7051140]/

Dove Shine Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner

Posted in Dove, Hair, Product Review at 2:54 pm by geeekygirl

I thought my hair was looking kind of dull lately so that last time I was in the shampoo aisle I thought Dove’s Shine Therapy would be the perfect thing for me to try to bring back some beautiful hair.

I have to say I was pretty impressed with the results. It took a couple weeks to see a difference, but once I did I was really impressed. This is a clarifying shampoo, which means that it gets rid of build up from shampoo, conditioner, and styling products. My hair looked healthy and shiny instead of dull. The scent was great too, not too overpowering but definitely nice. It also made my hair softer, probably because of the unique repairing serum that’s in the shampoo and conditioner. Overall, my hair looked healthier.

If you have hair that’s looking dull, check out Dove Shine Therapy shampoo and conditioner. It definitely does what it claims to and it smells great while doing it.

Available at your local drugstore for $6.
