Sunsilk Daring Volume Shampoo and Conditioner

Sunsilk Daring Volume

I’m always on the look out for hair products that will give my hair a boost in the volume department. I have really fine, flat hair that never has as much body as I could like it to have. I recently tried out Sunsilk’s Daring Volume shampoo and conditioner to see what it would do for my hair.

First off, it was really easy ro pick out at the drug store. Since Sunsilk’s different collections are color coordinated I didn’t have any problems trying to pick it out on the shelves. I have having to search for the right formula of whatever I’m buying – it drives me crazy.

Sunsilk did in fact add volume to my hair, even if it wasn’t as much as I would have liked. Neither the shampoo or the conditioner felt heavy or like it was weighing my hair down. It was easy to comb through while it was wet too. The scent was a great bonus too – perfect to wake up to. The Daring Volume line also has a mousse, which I haven’t tried.

Sunsilk has four different collections – Daring Volume, Waves of Envy, Captivating Curls, and Straight to Perfection.

Sunsilk’s Daring Volume collection is available at your local drug store for $4.50 each.

Hydralicious Shampoo Giveaway

Posted in Giveaway, Hair, Herbal Essences, Product Review at 10:00 am by geeekygirl

I’ve been using Herbal Essences Hydralicious shampoo for the last month or so. There are three different kinds in this line – I went for the purple Reconditioning shampoo and conditioner.

I have to admit that my expectations for it weren’t all that high, but I really like how soft it leaves my hair. My hair feels moisturized even though I blow dry my hair almost every day, and sometimes even straighten it. My stylist mentioned how soft my hair felt when I got my hair cut two weeks ago.

I thought I would let a couple of my readers try out Hydralicious as well. Leave me a comment with your favorite hair tip for spring/summer and I’ll enter you into a draw for 2 full value coupons for Hydralicious shampoo/conditioner. I’ll give away 2 sets of coupons. Unfortunately the coupons are only good in Canada so Canadian residents only please.

The Hydralicious line is available at your local drugstore for $4.

Sunsilk Daring Volume Volumizing Spray

I have hair that refuses to have volume or body. It makes me crazy. I also don’t like having a ton of product in my hair – it end up weights my hair down and makes it feel greasy. When I saw Sunsilk’s Volumizing Spray at the drugstore I had to try it.

I’m actually pretty impressed. It does give my hair more volume, right where it needs it. Although the volume doesn’t last through the night, it definately last throughout the day. It’s not too heavy and I can’t even tell it’s in my hair. It doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy either. It has a light scent, which I really like.

To apply it, spray it into your hair at the roots, then brush the product through to the ends of your hair.

Sunsilk has recently introduced four new collections; Waves of Envy, Captivating Curls, Straight to Perfection, and of course Daring Volume. If you’re interested in checking this product out, or any of the other Sunsilk products, head over to the Sunsilk website and sign up for a $1.50 off coupon. You can’t go wrong with that. I’ve already gotten mine and used it.

Available at your local drugstore for $4.

Dove Shine Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner

Posted in Dove, Hair, Product Review at 2:54 pm by geeekygirl

I thought my hair was looking kind of dull lately so that last time I was in the shampoo aisle I thought Dove’s Shine Therapy would be the perfect thing for me to try to bring back some beautiful hair.

I have to say I was pretty impressed with the results. It took a couple weeks to see a difference, but once I did I was really impressed. This is a clarifying shampoo, which means that it gets rid of build up from shampoo, conditioner, and styling products. My hair looked healthy and shiny instead of dull. The scent was great too, not too overpowering but definitely nice. It also made my hair softer, probably because of the unique repairing serum that’s in the shampoo and conditioner. Overall, my hair looked healthier.

If you have hair that’s looking dull, check out Dove Shine Therapy shampoo and conditioner. It definitely does what it claims to and it smells great while doing it.

Available at your local drugstore for $6.
