Life brand Moisturizing Shave Gel for Sensitive Skin
I’m constantly on the look out for a shave gel that will be gentle on my sensitive skin but also give me a close shave. I was at Shopper’s a couple weeks ago checking the shave gels out and decided on Life brand’s Moisturizing Shave Gel for Sensitive Skin because I had never tried it before – plus it was on sale.
I hate shaving. It’s not so much actually doing it, but after I get out of the shower my legs hurt because the shaving irritates my skin and I end up suffering for the next hour. It’s not fun to say the least, so I was hoping that this shave gel would make a difference.
I was pleasantly surprised actually. I wasn’t expecting to be because it’s a store brand, but I was. Even though my legs did still hurt a little after, it was nothing like it usually is. I’m not sure what it was that made the difference, but it definitely worked. I’ve used “sensitive” skin formulas before without much of a difference, but this one didn’t leave my skin feeling as irritated as usual. As for the shaving it did give me a close shave – just as good as any brand name shave gel.
So if you’re looking for a shave gel to leave your skin feeling good after shaving, I would recommend Life brand Moisturizing Shave Gel for Sensitive Skin.
Available at your local Shopper’s Drug Mart.

Life Brand Lip Balm
I’m constantly losing my lip balms. I mean all the time – I’m doing really well if I don’t lose one for a couple weeks. I don’t know what it is with them, but I just can’t keep track of what I do with them. They’re such an essential in my makeup back for this crazy Canadian weather we have here, but it feels like I never have any when I need them.
Recently I was checking out Shopper’s Drug Mart’s selection of lip balms and decided on the Life brand ones. Really, what’s the use of spending a ton of money on them if I’m only going to have them for two weeks? So I got a two pack.
While I have to say it does work pretty good, I find the application a little tricky sometimes. You have to be careful not to put too much on or else it ends up getting a weird gummy texture thing going on that’s not good. As long as you’re not too heavy handed though it works like a charm.
I went with the cherry flavor. I’m sure there were a few varieties to pick from, but I can’t remember what they are and the Shopper’s website isn’t cooperating with me. The next time I’m in there though I’ll check it out and update this post.
Available at your local Shopper’s Drug Mart for $2.69.
