Life Brand Lip Balm

Posted in Life brand, Lip balm, Lips, Product Review at 6:00 am by geeekygirl

I’m constantly losing my lip balms. I mean all the time – I’m doing really well if I don’t lose one for a couple weeks. I don’t know what it is with them, but I just can’t keep track of what I do with them. They’re such an essential in my makeup back for this crazy Canadian weather we have here, but it feels like I never have any when I need them.

Recently I was checking out Shopper’s Drug Mart’s selection of lip balms and decided on the Life brand ones. Really, what’s the use of spending a ton of money on them if I’m only going to have them for two weeks? So I got a two pack.

While I have to say it does work pretty good, I find the application a little tricky sometimes. You have to be careful not to put too much on or else it ends up getting a weird gummy texture thing going on that’s not good. As long as you’re not too heavy handed though it works like a charm.

I went with the cherry flavor. I’m sure there were a few varieties to pick from, but I can’t remember what they are and the Shopper’s website isn’t cooperating with me. The next time I’m in there though I’ll check it out and update this post.

Available at your local Shopper’s Drug Mart for $2.69.

Nivea Lip Care

Nivea Lip Care

Living in the part of the world that I do with all the wind and cold weather I’m constantly trying out new lip balms. One of my new favorites is Nivea’s Lip Care in cherry. It goes on smoothly and adds a hint of color and shimmer to my lips. It keeps my lips feeling moisturized and protected. This lip balm contains almond oil, jojoba oil, and shea butter, ensuring that the moisturizing lasts. It’s also dermatologist tested so it’s safe for sensitive skin like mine – I didn’t have any reactions to it.

Available at your local drug store for $4.
