Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear
I picked up a new nail color last week. It’s Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Purple Potion. It’s a deep purple color that I absolutely love. I can tell this color is going to be on my nails long into the fall and winter.
I found this nail polish went on to my nails streak free. However, it did require three coats to get good streak free coverage. I’m not sure if this is because the color is so dark or if it’s the formula. I also thought the bottle was pretty cute, it’s pretty distinctive.
There are 30 colors available in this line, everything from white to black, to everything in between. Xtreme Wear is DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde free, which is a bonus. More Xtreme Wear nail polishes will be on my shopping lists, there are some great colors for a great price.
Purple Potion is available at drugstores for a very affordable $2.

Sally Hansen’s Certainly Cherry
I recently bought Sally Hansen’s 10 Day Nail Color in Certainly Cherry. With the trend this summer of all the bright colors I thought this would be a great one to pick up. Other similar colors are Essie’s Movers and Shakers, OPI’s I’m India Mood for Love, and OPI’s That’s Hot! Pink from the Mod About Brights collection, although Certainly Cherry is brighter than all of them.

Essie’s Short Shorts are described as “shockingly flamingo pink”.

The 10 Day No Chip collection come in 24 different colors. This is my second from this collection, my first was a purplish Always Amethyst. I loved how well it stayed on with absolutely no chipping whatsoever, although to be honest I only had it on for a few days before I took it off to put on another new color. Usually I have nail polish chipping off in 2 days though, so I was pretty impressed with this one.
According to the website, the 10 Day No Chip nail polish:
-has a patented formula with Micro-Minerals and Calcium provides a
chip-free manicure
-Perfect-Glide brush for flawless application
-contains no DBP, Toluene or Free Formaldehyde
-is available in 24 chip-resistant shades
I found it easy to apply and went on streak free. I used one coat of base coat, two of Certainly Cherry, and another two of top coat. I would definitely recommend it. It’s great to be able to get the same look of a more expensive polish in one that won’t break the bank.
You can pick is up for about $5 at drug stores.
